Inventor of WWW

Born in 1955, the British computer scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee was the one who invented the World Wide Web (Dennis, 2004). Although he made the earliest web client and web server in 1990, Sir Tim invented the WWW back in 1989 during his time at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN(W3, n.d).

History of E-commerce

Electronic commerce is a term used to refer to the buying and selling of products and services online on the internet(McFerrin, 2020).

According to McFerrin(2020), computer networks were used to conduct businesses by companies for as far as during the 1960s. However, modern E-commerce was introduced and pioneered by the English inventor Michael Aldrich in 1979 which involved connecting television and telephone lines.

This idea struck Aldrich as he was walking with his wife complaining about the inconvenience of making usual trips to the market and asking if it could just be easier if it was possible to order what they needed through the television(McFerrin, 2020). He later on invented a system which advertised goods and services on the television which he called 'teleshopping', this involved giving the viewers the capability to call a processing centre and make orders. E-commerce started here onwards and the introduction of new technologies such as the SSL throughout the 80-90s led to more people being comfortable using it(McFerrin, 2020).

Pros and Cons of E-commerce

  It was reported with the help of statistics that electronic retail sales are predicted to rise up to 4.8 trillion dollars by 2021 (Ferreira, 2019). Choice of E-commerce

Electronic Books My website will be following the Business-to-Consumer(B2C) E-commerce model as the products are aimed to be sold to none other than the consumers themselves. Two similar websites I am going to be researching two different websites that are famous or known to be selling E-books which are :   1)Ebooks:  This below, is the e-Books.com home-page.
